What is the Global Curriculum?

Imagine you are visiting Earth for the very first time. You would find a planet wrapped in air and water, lit by a star, and alive: millions of kinds of living things, from bacteria to blue whales. And among them you would find more than 8 billion people who build cities, grow food, trade, make laws, pray, invent machines, raise families and dream about the future.

How could you understand all of that? Not through one window. You would need to look at the same Earth through eight different windows, and then notice how every view connects to all the others. That is what the Global Curriculum does.

The simple answerThe Global Curriculum is Octa’s complete learning path about our planet and our civilisation. It is organised into 8 aspects, eight lenses on one Earth: . Each aspect has its own curriculum of lessons, and every lesson looks at the world holistically, as one connected whole.

As a first visitor

Everything is explained as if you had just arrived on Earth, so no lesson assumes you already know the words.

🕸️

Always connected

We never study one piece on its own. The 8 Cultures of life, the four forces and the 8 aspects always appear together.

🗺️

Real and current

Ready for the future

Built to prepare you for the world you will live in: new technologies, a changing climate, and life on a connected planet.
